The best tall scrubs for women are not simply the longest pants on the page. Match waist and hip first, copy the finished inseam from pants that work, then check rise, knee and pocket placement, leg shape, and top length. A Tall label only helps when the exact size, color, style, and length are available.

How this guide was built: LumiScrubs publishes this article, but it does not currently sell a dedicated tall length. We did not buy or wear-test the four competitor garments below. Prices, selectors, and measurements were checked on official U.S. brand pages on August 26, 2026. Treat them as a dated specifications snapshot and verify your full variant before paying.

Quick comparison: current tall scrub pants and Lumi’s standard-length boundary

Brand and example Published length choices Tall inseam Price snapshot What the number does not tell you
FIGS Zamora Jogger Petite, regular, tall 30.5 in USD 52 Whether the cuff sits where you want it or your color-size-length combination is available
Jaanuu Cam 5-Pocket Pant Petite, regular, tall 33 in USD 40 Whether the mid-rise and uncuffed leg place the knee, pockets, and hem correctly on you
Mandala 9 Pocket Joggers Petite, regular, tall 31 in USD 29.99 Whether 31 inches works; the same brand publishes 34 inches for several uncuffed shapes
Healing Hands Nisha Pant Regular, petite, tall 33 in USD 47 Whether the straight-leg hem and the selected color-size-length combination are available
LumiScrubs women’s size chart One standard inseam by size; no petite/tall selector None; standard chart is 28.3–29.5 in USD 36.90 straight leg; USD 38.90 jogger A larger Lumi size adds width and only a small charted length difference; it is not a tall substitute

There is no universal tall inseam in this current sample. The choices run from 30.5 to 33 inches, while one brand publishes different tall lengths for different pant shapes. Ask which exact pant has the measurements and construction you need—not merely which brand carries Tall.

Tall is a length choice, not a larger letter size

Waist and hip determine room across the body. Tall, regular, and petite determine vertical proportions or garment length, depending on the pattern. On all four competitor pages checked here, letter size and length appear as separate choices.

Moving from medium to large may create unwanted room without adding the needed inseam. Choose in this order:

  1. Match waist and hip to the current brand chart.
  2. Match the pant’s finished inseam to a measured reference pair.
  3. Check rise, thigh, knee, pocket, and hem placement.
  4. Evaluate the top separately for shoulder, sleeve, and body length.
  5. Confirm the exact color-size-length variant before relying on the option.

Height is context, not a finished-pant measurement. Two women of the same height can need different inseams because proportions, rise preference, shoes, and shape differ.

Measure tall scrub pants before comparing brands

Use a soft tape and a pair of pants that already land correctly.

1. Choose width from waist and hip

Follow the seller’s measuring points. If waist and hip point to different sizes, do not size down to chase length. Compare the fuller measurement with the cut and the room you need for sitting and bending.

2. Copy a finished inseam that works

Lay the reference pants flat without stretching. Measure from the crotch-seam intersection down the inside leg to the finished edge. Record the pant shape and shoes worn with it.

A 31-inch jogger and 31-inch straight leg need not land alike. A cuff can leave fabric stacked above the ankle; an open hem interacts with the shoe and floor.

3. Record rise and the position of the knee

Measure front rise from the crotch seam to the front waistband. Note where the knee and cargo pockets sit. Extra inseam below a misplaced knee does not correct the whole proportion.

Treat “mid-rise” or “high-rise” as a description, not a numeric match. The tags-on check shows where the waistband and crotch settle.

4. Define your acceptable hem zone

In work shoes, mark the acceptable end point. Keep an open hem off the floor; for a jogger, decide where the cuff should sit and how much stacking you will accept.

Four official tall options, compared without a universal winner

These are specifications examples, not a wear-test ranking. Different rises and shapes make “longest” a poor automatic winner.

FIGS tall scrubs: a 30.5-inch cuffed jogger

The current FIGS Zamora Jogger page lists USD 52, XXS–6XL, six pockets, and 26.5-inch petite, 28.5-inch regular, and 30.5-inch tall versions. It says the versions differ only in length. Compare 30.5 inches with another cuffed pant; the selector does not prove every combined variant is in stock.

Jaanuu tall scrubs: a 33-inch uncuffed pant

The current Jaanuu Cam 5-Pocket Pant lists USD 40, XXS–3X, five pockets, a classic mid-rise fit with side vents, and 29-inch petite, 31-inch regular, and 33-inch tall inseams. A 5-foot-9 model wears XS Tall, but model height is not a fit rule. Compare this uncuffed 33-inch pant with an uncuffed reference and your shoes.

Mandala tall scrubs: length changes with the pant shape

The current Mandala 9 Pocket Joggers page lists USD 29.99 and regular, petite, and tall. Its women’s jogger row gives 26, 28, and 31 inches; the cargo straight, wide-leg, flare, and barrel rows give 29, 31, and 34 inches. Read the row for the exact silhouette rather than treating “Mandala Tall” as one length.

Healing Hands tall scrubs: a 33-inch straight leg

The current Healing Hands Nisha Pant lists USD 47, XSM–2XL, a straight leg, and 31-inch regular, 29-inch petite, and 33-inch tall inseams. Use 33 inches to shortlist it, then confirm the color, letter size, and Tall combination.

Availability is part of fit—not an afterthought

A charted length cannot help when your color and size are absent. In one August 17 discussion about 2XL Tall scrubs, the poster described repeated black and navy Tall gaps; replies said tall tops were harder to find than tall pants. This is anecdotal, male-focused feedback—not a women’s size chart—but it exposes the need to verify the complete variant.

Select all four fields: style, color, letter size, and length. Record the style name or code if you may reorder it.

Check tall scrub tops separately

Tall pants do not prove a tall top exists. Compare shoulder width, sleeve length, and body length from the high shoulder point, then reach forward and overhead in the intended base layer.

The current Jaanuu length help page links separate women’s and men’s Tall categories. Verify the specific top and full variant.

Where LumiScrubs fits—and where it does not

LumiScrubs currently publishes women’s sizes 2XS–2XL with standard inseams from 28.3 to 29.5 inches. Its Fit & Size Help page says it does not offer petite or tall lengths at this time. Anyone who needs 30.5, 31, 33, or 34 inches should choose a dedicated tall option rather than size up within Lumi’s current line.

These images show standard-length Lumi silhouettes only. They are not Tall examples and prove neither fit nor length on another body.

LumiScrubs Motion Jogger Pant in Caramel, front view showing a cuffed standard-length silhouette

The current women’s Motion Jogger Pant is USD 38.90. The image supports only the visible tapered leg, cuff, and pocket placement; this product has no Tall selector.

LumiScrubs Straight-Leg Pant in Burgundy, front view showing an open standard-length hem

The current women’s Straight-Leg Pant is USD 36.90. The image supports only the visible straight leg, side slits, and pocket placement; it is standard length, not Tall.

Measurement checkpoint: Use LumiScrubs Fit & Size Help to compare your waist, hip, and target inseam. If the standard chart is too short, choose a seller with a verified Tall variant.

Run a clean, tags-on tall fit check

Keep tags attached, test indoors, and read the seller’s current return terms first.

  • Walk in work shoes: make sure an open hem stays off the floor and a cuff remains where you intended.
  • Sit for several minutes: check whether the rise settles without pulling the waistband down.
  • Squat and climb one step: inspect seat, thigh, knee, and pocket placement rather than inseam alone.
  • Reach forward and overhead: check top coverage independently from pant length.
  • Use safe, lightweight pocket stand-ins: verify that weight does not pull the pant lower and change hem clearance.
  • Photograph the label and style code: keep a record if the exact fit becomes difficult to reorder.

Shortening a simple open hem may be possible after every other fit point passes. Lengthening depends on hem allowance and construction, so do not buy a too-short pant based on an assumed alteration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What inseam is considered tall in women’s scrubs?

There is no universal number. The current tall examples in this guide range from 30.5 to 33 inches, and one brand publishes 34 inches for several uncuffed shapes. Compare the exact pant with a finished inseam you already wear successfully.

Is Tall the same as a larger size?

No. Letter size mainly addresses width, while Tall addresses length or vertical proportions. Many brands let a shopper choose the same letter size in petite, regular, or tall.

Are tall scrub tops available?

Some sellers have Tall categories or individual tall tops, but tall pants do not guarantee a matching top. Check the exact top’s shoulder, sleeve, and body-length information and verify your color-size-length combination.

Can a tall nurse wear standard-length scrub pants?

Yes, when the standard finished inseam and rise match that person’s measurements, shoes, and preferred hem position. Height alone cannot tell you whether standard length will work.

Are joggers or straight-leg scrubs better for tall women?

Neither shape is universally better. Joggers contain the bottom edge with a cuff but can stack above it. Straight legs can offer a longer published inseam and a simpler hem, but they require floor and shoe clearance. Compare like with like.
