NICU, readable across the unit
Half your conversations here happen with a parent who hasn’t slept in three days. Being readable as NICU staff — not a consultant passing through — changes how that conversation starts.
What’s in the set
- One NICU role card — 8.6 × 8.3 cm glitter acrylic,
slotted for a standard badge clip, with raised lettering rather than a printed decal. - One badge reel — retractable steel cord and swivel clip, so the whole
assembly still pulls out to the reader.
Why a card and not just the badge
Hospital ID type is sized for a scanner, not for a room. It sits at chest height, often facing
the floor, in about 8 pt. The role card sits behind it and says one thing in letters that
carry — which is the only part a stranger actually needs.
Care
Wipe with a damp cloth. The lettering is raised acrylic, so it won’t peel the way a
printed sticker does — but keep it out of the wash all the same.
