A patient reads you from across the room in about three seconds, and your ID badge is
not what they read — the type is too small and it is usually facing the floor.
The role card sits behind the badge and says the one thing that matters, in letters that
carry: RN, or the unit you work on.
What’s in the set
- One role card — 8.6 × 8.3 cm glitter acrylic,
slotted for a standard badge clip, with raised lettering rather than a printed decal. - One badge reel — retractable steel cord and swivel clip, so the
whole assembly still pulls out to the reader.

RN comes in twelve colourways. Specialty cards cover NICU, PICU, PACU, ER, ICU, PCU,
DERM, ONC and TRAUMA. If you float, the card is the cheapest thing to swap.
Care
Wipe with a damp cloth. The lettering is raised acrylic — it will not peel off the
way a printed sticker does, but keep it out of the wash all the same.
